Product Description Casio's EX-G1 is designed with style and endurance to last the elements of the ages, and the lifestyle elements of ENDURANCE - Shock, Dirt, Humidity, Temperature, Snow, Water proof.
With the EX-G1, users can take powerful time lapse photography, the kind which is usually almost impossible to capture. The shooting interval can be set at 10 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute, or 3 minutes, and the capture time for movies may be set at 3, 10, 20, or 30 minutes, enabling users to get great shots when an event changes over time such as in nature, science, and even sports.

n/a September 6, 2010 toby2010 product was durable for the most part. it seemed like the salt water from the beach caused the product to peel in areas that is covered in rubber. the picture quality was average at night, great during the day with lots of sun light. Video quality was amazing!
Works, simple to use, looks good September 1, 2010 skidmark Overall the item works well out of the box and is very simple. Upon examination I seriously doubt any ability to work after being under water.... Its just not sealed that well. Other than that it looks pretty durable.
Slim & Sleek! August 25, 2010 JOEY REYES (SHERMAN OAKS, CA, US) When this camera was 1st unveiled in November of 2009 I knew I had to have it but money wise it wasn't feasible at the time. Well, here I was & found it for ridiculous low price of $169 sans memory card which I found for only $28, it was a 16 GB.
The picture & video quality are excellent. I don't know much about cameras but I figure this has to hold true for all cameras over 12 MP's.
I had an old Casio 6 MP & that camera took a beating but kept snapping quality pictures on all my travels.
This camera is it's replacement & I know it will surpass my old Casio due to it being shockproof, freezeproof, waterproof & dustproof. I already took some great pix surfing w/it,something I couldn't do w/my old one. I know this season for snowboarding the camera will get dropped, beat up but will still deliver cause it's a Casio.
The one thing I really like about this camera as w/most Casio's is it's thinness. Many cameras are bricks & don't fit comfortably in your front or back pocket. This camera fits nicely in my jeans when rocking in Vegas.
Last but not least, this model was voted TOP Camera for shockproof, waterproof camera's this year so that must say a little about it. I recommend the extended 3 year warranty plus Accident Protection from Squaretrade. I'm lucky that the only authorized Casio Repair shop is a few miles away but those who aren't so lucky may want to throw down $34 for piece of mind & protection.
EX-G1 August 18, 2010 FlyFishinOK This camera is perfect for my lifesyle. Fishing, Hunting, Hiking it works great in the outdoors. It is very compact so I always have it easily stored in a pocket ready for action shots.
HORRIBLE (Owner for 6 months) August 17, 2010 Keith Beilinson (Trumbull, Ct) I bought this because I wanted a slim camera that I could toss around. The picture quality is descent, not great. It is really slow, I missed a few good shots while it was warming up or focusing. BUT the clincher is I never dropped it, but have tossed it around and the buttons popped off. I sent it in for a warranty repair and got the run around and they want to charge me over $50 to fix this. Their customer service is horrendous. Great idea, poor produc, lousy company. I would never buy another Casio product
