Doesn't Work with Mac OS 10.6 Snow Leopard, Horrible support on website. August 20, 2010 MaineWebDad 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
I'm still getting to know this product, but can't seem to get beyond one key deficiency. I'm using this with a MacBook running Mac OS 10.6 (Snow Leopard). I have tried every possible way to make this camera talk to the laptop, including changing the order I plug things in, adding an SD Ram card, looking for drivers... the works! The only thing more frustrating than not being able to make these two things talk to each other is the incredible lack of support that Polaroid has on their website. The **ONLY** thing they have listed for the A330 is a link to the manual. That's It!! I purchased these for a project with kids in a summer program, and I don't have time to send them back. But if I had it to do all over again, I would go with something else. As it is, these may end up at the dump after this project is done.
Good camera for the price August 17, 2010 Laura This is a great starter camera. We bought it for our 14 year old son to take on a trip. There were some grainy pictures but most of them came back very sharp. It seems that the camera took much sharper distance pictures (even using the zoom) but gets grainy when taking close up pictures. For the price we were very happy with it.
Poor quality August 10, 2010 Krys Foster (CHICAGO, IL, US) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
So, essentially, this camera did not work and I had to return it. I purchased brand new rechargeable batteries and the camera wouldn't even work for 5 minutes.
bought it for my 5 year old July 18, 2010 Suzanne R. Johnson 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought it for my 5 year old for his birthday after he started wanting to take pictures with mine. It is perfect for him. I only had to show him how to operate it one time and he loves it! His only complaint is the battery compartment opens up too easily. I had to add a strap from my old digital camera so too bad it wasn't supplied. Picture quality is fair but fine according to him. Pictures in areas that are not well lit don't come out very well. Still it is better than the kid's digital camera he had before and comparable in price. I definitely feel I got what I paid for and he loves it!
Camera for a 5 year old July 7, 2010 S. Meyer (Vadnais Heights, MN USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
We bought this camera for our 5 year old son. It works great for this purpose. Simple point and shoot, no zoom and no major options. The megapixels are way better than the cameras they sell specifically for kids and it costs less. It is light weight and small, so perfect for little hands. My only concern is that it may get damaged easier than a camera designed for kids, but it has not done so yet. The camera holds about 30 pics on the internal memory and then needs to be downloaded and cleared. However, a memory card can be used to hold more pics at one time. My son has had the camera about 2 months and it is already saving us money over the cost of disposable cameras and development costs.
